How to reach the desk
There is one editorial mailbox, editor@abujabrokerng.com, and it is read by the person who writes the pages.
The one mailbox
The only address is editor@abujabrokerng.com. It is an editorial mailbox, not a support desk, and it is handled by the person who writes the material. There is no phone line and no live chat, and no response time is promised.
Messages about a page, a figure that looks wrong, or a broker detail that has changed are the ones that get read first. Clear subject lines help, and so does the exact page address.
How a correction request is handled once it reaches the desk
A correction request is logged, checked against the source we used, and either amended or answered with the reason it stands. Send the page URL, the exact sentence, the correction you propose and the source that supports it. We do not amend on assertion alone; the request has to point to something checkable, such as a regulator notice, a broker document or the platform's own screen.
If the correction is upheld, the page is edited and the change is noted at the foot of the article with the date. If it is not upheld, you receive a reply explaining which fact was relied on and why. We keep the exchange on file so the same point is not re-argued from scratch. Corrections are not published as separate posts.
Corrections that touch money, leverage or regulation are treated as priority because a wrong figure there can mislead a reader into a bad decision. That includes the leverage caveat for Nigeria, where the available figure is up to 1:200 via the offshore entity and one review cited 1:30 or 1:20 caps that were conflicting and not verified. A challenge to that wording will be checked first.
Account access, fund recovery and personal advice belong with the broker or the regulator
We cannot unlock an account, reset a password, reverse a transfer, chase a withdrawal or recover funds. Those actions require access to the broker's systems and are handled by the broker's own support, your bank or your card issuer. Write to the broker first and keep the ticket number. If the matter is a dispute, your bank's chargeback process or the regulator is the correct route, not this desk.
For a regulatory question, confirm any broker on the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators. The caveat we carry is that FxPro is licensed by the FCA in the UK, CySEC and the FSCA, and that Nigerian readers should check the SEC Nigeria register themselves. We can repeat that caveat and explain what it means, but we cannot verify a firm's status for you or act on your behalf.
For personal trading advice, the answer is no. We do not tell readers what to buy, when to sell, how large a position to take or how to manage a losing trade. If you need that, speak to a licensed adviser who can see your full financial position. What we can do is explain the mechanics of XAU/USD so that your own decision is better informed.
What to send for an XAU/USD pricing, platform or funding question
For a gold pricing query, send the XAU/USD price you saw, the platform name (MT4, MT5, cTrader or FxPro Edge), the timestamp and your account entity. Without those four details we cannot check whether the figure was a quote, a chart print or a fill. A screenshot of the ticket or the chart window is more useful than a description, because it shows the bid and ask at the moment you acted.
For a platform question, tell us the exact error text, the device and operating system, and whether the problem appears on demo, live or both. If the issue involves leverage, state the ratio shown in your account settings rather than the one you expected. We cannot see your account, so the message must carry the evidence: error code, time, instrument and the steps that produced the fault.
For a funding question, name the method you used: local NGN bank transfer, Visa or Mastercard debit card, e-payment or crypto. Include the amount in naira or dollars as debited, the date and the reference your bank or wallet issued. Do not send card numbers, CVVs, passwords or one-time codes. We need the reference and the timing, not the credentials, to explain what normally happens next.
The response time to expect for a contact message
Expect a reply within a few working days, not within minutes. The desk is small and messages are read in the order they arrive, with corrections and safety issues moved ahead of general questions. We do not promise a same-day answer, and we do not operate a live chat. If your matter is urgent because money is moving, contact your broker or bank first, then write to us.
Response time depends on how complete your first message is. A message that names the platform, the instrument, the timestamp and the exact wording of an error can be answered in one pass. A message that says only that gold behaved strangely needs a round of questions, which adds days. The fastest route is to send everything in the first email.
We answer in English and in the order received. Weekends and Nigerian public holidays are not working days for the desk. If you have not heard back after several working days, resend the original message with the same subject line rather than starting a new thread, so the earlier context is not lost.
What a useful message contains so an answer is possible
A useful message contains the instrument code, the platform, the time and the exact question in the first two lines. For gold, write XAU/USD rather than 'gold' so there is no confusion with a local dealer's naira quote. State whether you are on demo or live, and which entity your account sits with, because the Nigeria-facing entity is FxPro Markets Direct Costa Rica Latam SRL and rules can differ by entity.
Include the numbers you were shown, not the numbers you remember. If a margin figure is in question, write the lot size and the leverage shown in your account, for example 0.10 lots at 1:200, and the margin the platform displayed. We can then compare it with the worked figure of about $85.50 margin for that position. Do not send a range or an approximation if you have the actual screen.
End with what you want: an explanation, a correction, or a pointer to the right desk. A message that states the outcome you need can be routed in one step. Messages that describe a bad experience without a question cannot be answered, because there is nothing to verify and nothing to fix. One clear ask per message is easier to handle than several mixed together.
No guest posts, no sponsored reviews, no paid placement
The desk does not accept guest posts, does not publish sponsored reviews, and does not sell placement at any price. A broker cannot pay to appear in a ranking, cannot pay to have a weakness removed, and cannot pay for a favourable sentence.
This is deliberate. The moment a page can be bought, the reader has no way to tell an honest check from an advertisement. Keeping the door shut is what makes the rest of the site worth reading.
What the desk can answer and what it cannot answer on gold trading
The desk can explain how XAU/USD is quoted, how a pip of 0.01 and a standard lot of 100 oz affect a position, and how margin is calculated at a given leverage. We can walk through the worked figure: at 1:200 via the offshore entity, a 0.10-lot gold position needs about $85.50 margin. We can also explain what a platform setting does and what a funding method normally involves.
The desk cannot tell you whether to buy or sell gold, where to place a stop, how much of your account to risk or whether now is a good time to enter. That is personal trading advice and it is outside what we provide. We can describe how a stop or a limit order works in general terms, but the decision, the size and the risk remain yours.
We also cannot confirm your account balance, your open positions or your withdrawal status, because we do not have access to broker systems. If your question depends on what is inside your account, the answer has to come from the broker's support desk. We can help you frame the question and understand the mechanics, not read your account.
What the desk will and will not help with
The desk will explain what a page means, point to where a figure came from, and take a correction seriously. It will not help with account problems, will not chase a broker on anyone's behalf, will not attempt fund recovery, and will not give personal advice on what to trade or how much to risk.
Account issues belong with the broker that holds the account. If a broker is not responding, the regulator named in its own documents is the right route, and for local operators the SEC Nigeria register of capital market operators is the place to confirm who is authorised.
Trade XAU/USD with FxPro
FxPro gives Nigerian traders MT4, MT5, cTrader and FxPro Edge for gold, funded by local bank transfer, debit card, e-payment or crypto. Check the platform, the margin and the regulator before you commit.
